Project Overview
Client/Product: CustomerzVoice
Role: Product Designer (Dashboard UX + UI)
Scope: Dashboard flow redesign, UI modernization, UX optimization
Goal:
Simplify the user journey
Reduce cognitive overload
Drive users toward meaningful actions faster
The Challenge
CustomerzVoice wanted to help businesses easily collect and manage customer feedback across platforms.
But the original dashboard suffered from:
Dense information overload
No clear starting point for new users
Fragmented flows (too many options, not enough guidance)
This created friction — especially for first-time users who weren't sure what to do next.
Design Goals
✅ Restructure the dashboard around task-first flows, not just data display
✅ Reduce visual and cognitive clutter
✅ Guide users naturally through the core actions:
✅ Prepare the system for future scalability (new modules, insights, analytics)
The Design Process
1. User Journey Simplification
Mapped out a clean flow:
Landing → Add Product → Fetch Reviews → Analyze Feedback
Focused on first wins for users within 2-3 clicks.
Content Density Reduction
The older dashboard tried to show everything upfront.
I streamlined it into bite-sized steps, introducing:
Primary action CTAs
Visual separation between key sections
Collapsible menus for secondary actions
Task-Based UX
Designed dashboard sections around user intentions, not just product features.
Example:
Instead of “Dashboard” → “Insights” → “Reports”
It's now: "Start by adding your product" → "View incoming feedback" → "Take action"
Before | After |
---|---|
Flat, high-density layout | Guided step-by-step flow |
Users landed into a data dump | Users land into clear “Add Product” CTA |
Important actions buried | Key actions surfaced visibly and repeatedly |
Confusing table-heavy UI | Summarized insights, clean cards, simple visuals |

Here's a short demo walkthrough of the final product:
Before

After
Step 1: Add Your Product
Start by adding your product to CustomerzVoice.
We simplified the flow so users can get set up in just a few clicks

Step 2: Fetch Customer Reviews
Once your product is added, instantly fetch real customer feedback from supported platforms.
Designed the dashboard to surface the "Fetch Reviews" action clearly without overwhelming the user

Step 3: Analyze Feedback Insights
After pulling customer reviews, users can easily view, filter, and analyze feedback data.
Clear summary cards and visual hierarchy help users focus on insights

Outcomes

Although the redesign was recently launched, early usability testing and product feedback showed:
Reduced onboarding confusion: Users completed first action (adding a product) 2x faster.
Better visual clarity: More users navigated to insights without external help.
Positive founder feedback: Clearer flows made it easier to showcase the product during early demos to clients/investors.
Scalability ready: Modular UI built to expand easily with more features later.
